Electrician

Role Overview 

as an electrician, you will be responsible for: 

  • Maintaining and repairing all electrical equipment, investigating defects, and submitting reports as required.
  • Maintaining a preventative maintenance program in accordance with company repair and preventative maintenance procedures as directed by the immediate supervisor.
  • Reporting on parts, tools, and supplies needed to maintain the equipment for which you are responsible.
  • Carrying out tasks in accordance with good engineering practices.
  • Carrying out and recording isolations of electrically driven equipment to be worked on by yourself and others.
  • Supplying any information required for updating drawings, sketches, or details on existing and replacement equipment.
  • Reporting any misuse of equipment to the Senior Company Representative or Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Safeguarding rig tools and instruments in your care.
  • Supplying information for completing the company’s reporting system data sheets, e.g., Maintenance/Repair/Replacement job cards.
  • Offering technical assistance and electrical backup as required for the safe operation of any equipment on the installation.
  • Carrying out tasks as part of a multi-discipline maintenance team, as operational requirements dictate.
  • Standing in for alternative work disciplines as required.
  • Completing any other reasonable tasks as delegated by the Line Supervisor.
  • Attending, at company bases or client premises, meetings and additional training, as required.
