Role Overview

As a Tool Pusher, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the supply and timely delivery of materials, goods, and fuel required for engines, machinery, and river pumps at drilling rigs.
  • Planning and managing the work schedule and transportation of rig personnel in coordination with the drilling area superintendent and the operations unit in Tehran, as well as overseeing personnel promotions.
  • Completing and approving the monthly performance records of the drilling rig, ensuring timely employer inspector approval, and tracking submission deadlines.
  • Supervising and participating in rig-up operations using available machinery and ensuring that all drilling equipment is properly installed at the new location and fully operational according to the project schedule.
  • Overseeing daily and periodic maintenance of all drilling machines, equipment, and facilities, both on the rig and at the rig camp.
  • Following up on resolving shortages or deficiencies in materials, equipment, or support.
  • Supervising all phases of drilling and auxiliary operations according to planned programs, and coordinating with relevant supervisors to ensure smooth execution.
  • Supervising the preparation of drilling mud throughout operations to ensure optimal drilling conditions and smooth continuation of activities in line with the plan.
  • Overseeing and participating in the inspection and testing of Blowout Preventers (BOPs), valves, and pressure control systems, ensuring operations meet approved technical standards and procedures.
  • Actively participating in well control and blowout prevention operations during drilling emergencies, using appropriate BOPs, pressure control systems, and tools in line with safety and operational protocols.
  • Coordinating the mobilization and notification of service contractors based on the planned operations and client requests.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in drilling operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in MBA with a focus on Oil & Gas Management or a Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline.
  • Male candidates preferred.
  • Familiar with well control certification (IWCF).
  • Proficient in drilling safety and rig operations.
  • Knowledgeable in:
  • Emergency preparedness and response
  • Rig safety regulations
  • Industrial safety principles
  • First aid and medical emergencies
  • Survival and safety onshore and offshore
