A Consortium Including Dana Was Introduced As Winner Of Nasr Abad Gas Storage Tender

Passing the stages of “Nasr Abad Gas Storage” tender, Dana Energy in a consortium was introduced as winner of the tender. The tender of “Conducting Study Services for (Phase 1) Development of Nasr-Abad Salt Dome to Store Natural Gas” was initiated by Iran Natural Gas Storage Company last autumn.

There were six consortiums who took part in the tender and proudly Dana Energy in a consortium of 4 companies acquired the highest technical points and afterwards was announced as the winner.

Nasr-Abad salt dome is located in 50 km of Kashan-Qom road. It will be the first salt dome in the Middle-East which is studied in order to store natural gas. Primarily conducted studies show that reservoir capacity of the dome is 3-4.5 milliard cubic meters. Phase 1 of the project includes acquisition, processing and interpretation of gravity & magneto telluric data, and also acquisition, processing and interpretation of 200 sq km of 3D seismic data, drilling an exploratory well, conducting well-logging and laboratory studies. In case of satisfaction of the study results in phase 1, preparing the scope of work of phase 2 and master development plan of the reservoir will be also carried out by this consortium. Operation of seismic data acquisition will be done by utilizing of vibrators and dynamites.
