Content Lead

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the content strategy for the organization, aligning it with the overall brand and marketing objectives.
  • Create a content roadmap and oversee its implementation across various channels, including website, blog, social media, email marketing, and other relevant platforms.
  • Manage a team of content creators, including writers, editors, graphic designers, and multimedia specialists, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to ensure high-quality content production.
  • Conduct research and stay up to date with industry trends, target audience preferences, and content marketing best practices to continuously improve and optimize content strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their content needs and align content initiatives with business goals.
  • Plan and execute content campaigns and initiatives, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners as needed.
  • Develop and enforce content guidelines, standards, and style guides to maintain consistency and brand voice across all content.
  • Analyze content performance metrics, such as engagement, conversion rates, and SEO rankings, and use the insights to refine content strategy and drive audience growth and engagement.
  • Monitor content trends and competitor activities, identifying opportunities for differentiation and innovation in content creation and distribution.
  • Stay informed about legal and ethical considerations related to content creation, ensuring compliance with copyright laws, data privacy regulations, and industry guidelines.
  • Stay updated on emerging content formats, technologies, and platforms and recommend their integration into the content strategy to enhance audience reach and engagement.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers, thought leaders, and external content creators to enhance brand visibility and credibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related fields.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications in content marketing or digital marketing are a plus.
  • Proven experience in content strategy, creation, and management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing principles, strategies, and tactics with a track record of driving successful content initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a solid grasp of grammar, style, and tone.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering creativity, collaboration, and professional development.
