Role Overview

As a Tourpusher, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting follow-ups to address deficiencies and provide suitable conditions for drilling operations and related personnel.
  • Performing regular site visits to drilling rigs to evaluate current conditions, resolve issues, and offer practical recommendations to the Rig Manager.
  • Completing and verifying the Daily Drilling Report (DDR), preparing the drilling brief, ensuring their accuracy and timely submission, and overseeing the archiving of all paper and digital documents on the rig.
  • Participating in all phases of rigging up, rigging down, and setting up drilling equipment, machinery, engines, rigs, and related tools in accordance with technical and safety procedures.
  • Overseeing routine and periodic maintenance of all drilling equipment, machines, and facilities on the rig and in the drilling camp.
  • Supervising all phases of drilling operations and auxiliary services, ensuring alignment with the planned programs, and coordinating with relevant supervisors.
  • Supervising and supporting the preparation of drilling mud as required throughout operations to ensure proper conditions for drilling progress according to the plan.
  • Overseeing and participating in inspections and tests of Blowout Preventers (BOPs), valves, and pressure-reducing systems, ensuring all operations are conducted per approved procedures and standards.
  • Actively participating in well control and containment operations during emergencies, adhering to HSE principles and technical practices.
  • Coordinating the activities and responsibilities of unit supervisors on the rig, including operations, maintenance, and mud logging units, under the direction of the Rig Manager.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in drilling operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in MBA with a focus on Oil & Gas Management or a Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline.
  • Male candidates preferred.
  • Familiar with well control certification (IWCF).
  • Proficient in drilling safety and rig operations.
  • Knowledgeable in:
    • Emergency preparedness and response
    • Rig safety regulations
    • Industrial safety principles
    • First aid and medical emergencies
    • Survival and safety onshore and offshore
