Senior Contractual Affairs Coordinator

 

Role Overview 

As a Senior Contractual Affairs Coordinator, you need to continuously monitor and follow-up on all financial aspects of contractual correspondences and Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs) between Dana Energy on one side, and the clients, partners, and contractors of development and operation projects on the other side. Also, overseeing work programs and annual budgets of relevant oil operations  in the Aban and Paydar fields.

  • Preparation of requests and responses for JMC meetings and relevant financial committees.
  • Keeping relevant managers informed of the financial status of ongoing projects under IPC and JOA contracts and any critical issues requiring immediate action.
  • Ensuring that all assigned tasks are carried out with full consideration of health, safety, and environmental management and respect for various communities, and promoting proactive behavior in the project environment with colleagues.
  • Ensuring effective coordination and constructive relationships with the employer, partners (current and future), JV operators, and contractors on financial matters.
  • Collecting and analyzing accounting data and presenting it to the financial unit for entry into IFS.
  • Responsible for monitoring and assisting management in ensuring that repayments related to development and operation project contracts for oil fields and IFO companies are fully executed.
  • Supervising the implementation of financial decisions of JMC meetings and following up on financial proposals of internal JV committees in line with IPC contract framework.
  • Monitoring and controlling partner budget requests, oil costs, and other expenses through close communication with the accounting group to align operational and accounting documents with annual work plans and budgets.

 

Candidate Requirements 

  • Master’s degree in fields such as Business Administration, Executive Management, or Petroleum Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in exploration and production; 5 years of experience in commerce.
  • Familiarity with technical fundamentals of upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas industries.
  • Proficient in areas of project planning, project control, cost control, and document management in oil and gas projects.
  • Familiarity with IPC and Buy Back contracts.
  • Familiarity with concepts of information systems management and information technology such as DBMS, MIS, EIS, DSS, BI, CSM.
