Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee production optimization activities within the Exploration and Production segment.
- Analyze well performance data, production rates, and reservoir behavior to optimize production operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop production enhancement strategies and initiatives.
- Implement and monitor production surveillance programs to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Design and recommend artificial lift systems, well interventions, and reservoir management strategies.
- Provide technical expertise in production engineering, contributing to the success of production projects.
- Lead root cause analysis for production deviations, incidents, and non-conformities, and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in reservoir management planning and reservoir simulation studies.
- Evaluate new technologies and innovative solutions to improve production efficiency and recovery.
- Prepare production reports, performance analyses, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in production engineering within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on Exploration and Production.
- Strong understanding of production optimization methodologies, reservoir behavior, and well performance analysis.
- Proficiency in production surveillance techniques, reservoir simulation software, and data analysis tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of artificial lift systems, well interventions, and completion strategies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify production improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience in leading production optimization projects and managing change initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Commitment to safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and environmental protection.
- Experience in reservoir management and reservoir modeling is a plus.
- Relevant certifications or professional memberships in production engineering are preferred.
