Field Surveyor

Role Overview 

  • Providing training on DGPS operation to operators and essential mapping fundamentals along with DGPS menus
  • Obtaining the mapping implementation plan from the supervisor and preparing a plan for the implementation of points in collaboration with the GIS specialist
  • Performing ground operations related to Calibration Tests, including Static and RTK
  • Conducting Static readings in creating satellite geodesy networks according to the program and relevant guidelines
  • Ensuring the correct transfer of coordinate information from various seismic points via memory card
  • Supervising the maintenance of safety distances from energy points such as buildings, roads, oil and gas wells, power transmission lines, oil and gas pipelines, bridges, installations, etc.
  • Guiding survey teams to designated lines and specifying the work schedule for each group
  • Night coordination to allocate necessary vehicles for survey teams to execute the program
  • Monitoring the attendance of survey team members and ensuring timely departure from the camp

Candidate Requirements

Age: 25-35
Location: Unspecified – onshore 
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience
Travel required
Field: Surveying Engineering (Minimum Bachelor’s degree)
Minimum 2 years of experience in geophysics
Field of Activity: Operational Projects
Familiarity with ArcGIS software
Proficiency in GIS principles and concepts
Familiarity with Gpseismic software
Familiarity with Leica GEO Office software
Knowledge of seismic operations
Ability to work with surveying equipment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Fluency in English
