Senior HSE Officer

Role Overview 

As a Senior HSE Officer, you will be responsible for: 

·       Conducting periodic safety, occupational health, and environmental inspections of various processes.

·       Establishing communication with competent authorities regarding HSE issues.

·       Conducting HSE training courses for employees at operational sites.

·       Developing control measures for hazards, risks, and environmental aspects.

·       Recording identified non-conformities in correspondence and taking corrective or preventive actions and following up on specified actions.

·       Requesting necessary safety equipment and items for the project and supervising the use and maintenance of safety equipment and items.

·       Planning emergency response and conducting relevant drills.

·       Monitoring the identification and control of safety, health, and environmental risks and harmful physical, chemical, and environmental factors in the workplace and providing suggestions for their reduction or elimination.

·       Supervising contractors’ activities regarding HSE matters, measuring, reporting, and monitoring performance indicators of the HSE management system periodically.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HSE / Occupational Health / Industrial Safety / Environmental Studies.
  • Age: 22 – 45
  • Work Experience: 5 years related to the oil and gas industry.

  • Proficiency in IMS requirements.
  • Mastery of identifying and analyzing occupational accidents and hazards.
  • Familiarity with first aid and medical emergencies.
  • Firefighting skills.
  • Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental regulations, laws, guidelines, and standards.
  • Proficiency in English language (speaking, writing, and comprehension).
  • Ability to plan, organize, and lead a team.
  • Strong communication and constructive interaction skills.
