Production Manager

Role Overview 

• Overseeing and supervising oil production, resolving operational unit issues in continuous collaboration with technical and planning departments, planning for acid jobs, and conducting supervised tests on metering systems. Coordinating necessary arrangements for receiving and dispatching produced oil to other operational units related to the oil company.

• Interacting with other operational units associated with the supervised operational unit for receiving and dispatching produced oil.

• Collaborating with site operational colleagues to resolve production issues and maintain production.

• Preparing and presenting statistical, managerial, and other required reports related to oil production for all stakeholders.

• Ensuring proper execution of production plans and taking preventive measures to avoid deviations during production.

• Participating in activities conducted by contractors, service organizations, and installation personnel including maintenance and repair of technical equipment and machinery.

• Monitoring tests related to upstream crude oil processing units such as salt determination, BS&W, and H2S determination in oil to ensure the quality of produced oil.

• Supervising the performance of metering systems and related tests, and preparing and presenting relevant reports.

• Monitoring the proper performance of oil production units and providing necessary reports and essential repairs, etc.

• Monitoring and ensuring the achievement of planned production presenting related reports and following up on issues related to the failure to achieve oil production.

• Necessary collaboration and coordination with technical departments to resolve production issues.

• Following up on all activities related to production maintenance including well testing and acid jobs.

 

Candidate Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

• Fifteen years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

• Full familiarity with production units, desalination, and metering systems.

• Proficient in maintenance and repair processes with a preventive approach and cost reduction.

• Full familiarity with oil and gas metering systems.

• Proficient in safety and environmental health regulations, standards, and guidelines.

• Proficient in activities required for production maintenance, acidizing operations, etc.

• Proficient in quality management, laboratory testing methods, and laboratory testing equipment.

• Proficient in all tests related to upstream oil industries including salt determination, BS&W, and H2S determination.
