A 10-megawatt capacity power plant, currently supplies electricity to approximately 2,000 households and has been actively operating as a decentralized energy source in the region. This power plant has been established through the investment partnership of Dana Energy Company on a 20-hectare plot of land. The facility, equipped with 30,000 solar panels and 66 inverters, is currently in operation.

  • Location Larestan, Fars
  • Start Date July 2019
  • Capacity 10-megawatt

In order to develop our portfolio diversity in the field of energy production and to use the potential of renewable resources, after technical and economic feasibility studies and development of renewable power plants (wind and solar), we took our first serious and successful step by participating in investment.

Kourdeh solar power plant with a capacity of 10 megawatts was connected to the national power grid of Iran on June 22, 2019 and was put into industrial use. The electricity produced by this power plant will be sold within a period of twenty years according to the guaranteed renewable electricity purchase agreement (PPA) with the Ministry of Energy.

The solar power plant has been built on a land of 20 hectares near the village of Kourdeh in Lar city. Photovoltaic (PV) structures and modules occupy an area of 15 hectares. More than thirty thousand 325-watt solar panels have been installed in this power plant, and the electricity produced by 66 inverters is converted from direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC) and connected to the national power grid.

In order to increase the efficiency of the power plant, the dust on the surface of the panels is cleaned by robotic cleaners. The power plant produces about 50 megawatt hours of electricity on sunny days. It is estimated that the annual average amount of electricity produced by the power plant is 20 Gigawatt hours.
