Responsibilities
- Collaborating in the compilation of paperwork for internal and external bids for drilling machines and related drilling services.
- Assessment of the requirement to manufacture the product internally and verification of competent manufacturing businesses to refer to the manufacturing process.
- Examining and comparing the technical specifications of goods and properties, as well as relevant maps, with purchasing standards and specifications.
- Preparing operating instructions.
- Creating and finalizing the drilling plan.
- Observation of operational data during operation.
- Examining subcontractor technical and financial proposals, as well as preparing and adjusting the technical evaluation of the submitted proposals.
- Reviewing work documents and invoices from associated contractors, as well as registering all contractor invoices in the system after clearance from the relevant manager and submitting them to the financial unit.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Oil Drilling and Extraction Engineering, and Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
- Certified by the International Well Control Association IWCF.
- At least 7 years of work experience in a similar position.
- Ability to use Landmark, and Drilling Office software.
- Familiarity with risks, risk identification, and risk assessment for safety.
- Proficient in drilling speed and time analysis using NPT data.
- Knowing the different parts of the drilling rig, the drilling rig’s equipment, the risks of the drilling rig, zoning the different parts of the rig in terms of risks, knowing the drilling rig’s safety rules (in case of entering the drilling machine), knowing the different parts of the headquarters building, identifying the emergency conditions in the building. Identifying a safe gathering spot.
- English proficiency level: ILR-3 (Professional Working Proficiency).
