In the challenging mountainous terrain, the Nargesi project team demonstrated exceptional operational excellence by successfully drilling four development wells, resulting in a production rate exceeding 9,000 barrels per day. Additionally, the team accomplished the creation of an approximately 25-kilometer-long oil transmission pipeline, facilitating the transfer of the extracted oil from the wells to the Nargesi manifold.

Beyond Boundaries: Operational Excellence Redefined in the Nargesi Project

The Nargesi field development project, located in Vahdatiye city, Bushehr province, stands as one of our pioneering ventures in the history of our drilling operations. What sets this project apart is its inclusion of the surface phase which was accompanied by the unforeseen challenge of the Corona Virus outbreak that significantly heightened the difficulties faced in the course of this project.

Transporting drilling rigs through the mountainous terrain of Nargesi presented a myriad of intricate challenges. However, through the commitment and perseverance of our dedicated team, we successfully accomplished the drilling of four development wells in this field, marking a significant milestone achieved in the early summer of 2021.

We always strived to do our best, keeping the project on track and avoiding complex and overly ambitious methods.

Hamid Ebrahimian, Project Manager

The subsurface phase of this project yielded remarkable achievements, including the successful drilling of 4 vertical wells reaching an average depth of 2,500 meters. These wells showcased an impressive production rate exceeding 9,000 barrels per day. Additionally, our drilling operations accomplished a significant breakthrough by extracting oil from the Sarvak reservoir in well No. 13 of the Nargesi field, a feat previously unexplored. This achievement surpassed the production rate expectations set by NISOC for this particular reservoir.

In the surface phase, the Nargesi project team successfully undertook several activities. These included the construction of 4 Well Locations and the establishment of access routes in the challenging and mountainous area of Nargesi field. Additionally, the team accomplished the creation of an approximately 25-kilometer-long oil transmission pipeline, which facilitated the transfer of the produced oil from the drilled wells to the Nargesi Manifold.

The Nargesi project was successfully completed in June 2023, by which the oil produced from the newly drilled wells was included in the production circuit of the country.
